Best Lounges of Walt Disney World

You know about bars, you know about restaurants, but what do you know about the LOUNGES of Disney? Many offer delicious food from neighboring restaurants in a cheaper, smaller version with a themed atmosphere and good drinks. Let’s examine them!

Up first, we head to Animal Kingdom, for what is probably the best lounge in all of WDW. As you head towards Pandora, you will pass Tiffins, and JUST past Tiffins (blink and you’ll miss it) is the Nomad Lounge. There are no reservations, so seating is first-come, first-served. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but I highly recommend sitting outside. The views are spectacular. And currently, you can catch the character cavalcades as they float right by you, all while snacking and drinking and relaxing. Sounds like heaven to me.

They offer small plates, including the Tiffins bread service, Impossible Sliders, and Churros, as well as a Kid’s Menu and an Allergy menu. The Allergy Menu includes GLUTEN FREE CHURROS, which, to me, cannot be beat. My fellow celiac sufferers know that GF yummy treats like this are hard to come by so when you run across GOOD ones, you take the chance to enjoy them!!

Nomad Lounge offers a large selection of beers (including Kungaloosh Spiced Excursion Ale Draft, an African-inspired deep amber ale brewed exclusively for Walt Disney World with Sorghum and a special blend of spices including Cinnamon and Cardamom), wine, specialty cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. This is a great option for a relaxing light lunch, perfect for families and couples alike.

Located at the top of the new Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort, this Lounge is based on the Spanish Surrealist Salvidor Dali. The inside decor mixes Surrealism and Spanish Modernism, much like the hotel itself. The wall behind the bar is covered in mirrors that marvelously reflect the sunset each night. In front of the seats at the bar are USB ports for charging your phone and purse hooks, something that should be standard all over, thank you very much!!

The Lounge itself is set up to display different settings or vignettes, and each area is a mishmash of different furniture and textures and styles, combining for a comfy, unique feeling. You can also opt to enjoy the outdoor seating for fresh air and an AMAZING VIEW.

They serve Spanish food in small plates and a MASSIVE wine offering (mostly from Spain), as well as coffee, tea, fountain drinks, beer, and specialty cocktails.

Tucked inside the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT, this space offers more than 200 kinds of tequila, as well as Mexican beers and wine, and specialty cocktails. They also offer small plates, like chips and guacamole, and queso.

Unsure of what to have? Ask for the secret Alibrije! The Alibrije is Centinela Blanco Tequila, Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur, and Fresh Lime Juice, shaken together. But before the tequila is served in the keepsake glass with the classic Disney glow cube, the Cast Member creates a smoke bubble of mixed berry flavor on the top of the drink.

About as close to a legitimate English Pub in America as you’re gonna get, get your fish and chips and your Guinness here! Not only Guinness, but whiskey, scotch, pub blends, and specialty cocktails.

Located between Sci-Fi and MuppetVision, this Lounge is themed as modern-day California, featuring California charcuterie, beer, wine, and spirits. With ample outdoor seating, this is a great place to sit and relax, either before entering or exiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. There’s not too much to eat here, to be honest, but it’s a neat place to try out.
